How changes are detected

  1. scripts/refresh.py downloads each source page and saves flattened text to data/snapshots/<date>/.
  2. It checks that expected strings (for example plan prices) are still on the page; if not, the page layout changed and a human must re-verify.
  3. It diffs numeric and text tokens against the previous snapshot and the structured data against the previous vendors.json.
  4. Differences are written to data/changelog.json and this page is rebuilt.

Detected changes are flagged for review; prices in vendors.json are only updated after a person confirms them. The refresh is run manually and is not scheduled. See the README.
