Analysis

Zyte prices by site difficulty: each website is placed in one of five tiers and you pay a per-request rate for that tier. Scrapfly prices by request features (plain HTTP, JS rendering, residential proxies). The two only line up when you know which tier your target sits in.

Easy sites

Zyte tier 1 (Simple), HTTP response body: $0.13 per 1,000 with no commitment, $0.10 with a $100/month minimum and $0.06 at $500/month. Scrapfly plain HTTP: $0.15 on the $30 plan, $0.10 on Pro ($100), $0.0909 on the $500 plan. For easy sites Zyte's pay-as-you-go rate already beats Scrapfly's cheapest plan, and its $500 tier is about 1.5x lower than Scrapfly's.

Hard sites

Zyte tier 5 (Advanced), HTTP response body: $1.27 pay-as-you-go, $0.61 at the $500 minimum. Scrapfly's 25-credit residential path: $2.50 on Pro and $2.27 on the $500 plan. That favours Zyte, but note the catch: if a tier-5 site also needs browser rendering, Zyte's browser-rendered price for that tier is much higher ($16.08 per 1,000 pay-as-you-go, $7.68 at $500 per its pricing table), above Scrapfly's 25-credit rate.

Rendered pages on easy sites

Zyte tier 1 browser-rendered: $1.01 pay-as-you-go ($0.48 at $500). Scrapfly with JS rendering (5 credits): $0.50 on Pro, $0.4545 at $500. Scrapfly is cheaper for rendered pages at similar spend.

Other differences

Verdict

If your targets are mostly easy-to-moderate and you want no minimum spend, Zyte is hard to beat per request. If you need JS rendering across many sites, or you want to forecast cost without a site classification, Scrapfly's credit model is simpler and often cheaper.
